Let's dive into it right away (I know you are busy ๐):
The obvious ones
- Update you LinkedIn profile. This makes you visible to recruiters and companies seeking your skillset in Taiwan. Recruiters like to use linkedin to find potential hires.
- A quick post on Twitter or LinkedIn can have a surprising big impact.
Remote (and working from Taiwan)
Here some pre-filtered links of those remote job portals I recommend:
- Remotive - The link give you a selection with remote job allowing you to work from Taiwan.
- RemoteOk
- HN's "who is hiring" - Look for the keyword "remote". "Hacker News" is usually a place where lot of smart engineers hangs out.
"Wait, I don't have a visa, how can I work remotely from Taiwan?!"
As a software engineer, you're likely eligible for a 3-year visa (!!). Check the qualifications here. The process takes 2 to 3 weeks, and you'll be able to work legally for a company outside of Taiwan.
