In this case we'll be functioning as an agency for our client. 508.dev will be vetting candidates before sending them to our client, and in return will recieve between 5-10% of the engineer's 3 month or 1 year bill rate depending on how long the engineer is retained. (Most agencies take 30% - 90% of the bill rate and hide this fact from you, 508.dev values transparency)
About the Position
508.dev's client is building a multi-tenant ecommerce product with tons of AR/XR functionality, blockchain integration, and is planning an associated ICO.
Our client has already onboarded customers such as H&M and Kering and engaged world-class fashion designers such as Peter Yee in the development of their ecommerce stack. They're building a product that allows users to track ownership of high fashion and other luxury products from designer through shop and previous owners, establishing authoritative provenance of luxury and vintage goods. Their product involves AR/XR, hardware tags, and a blockchain integration.
Our client has recently received a funding round and is looking to build out a Taipei office for the transforming of their product into a multi-tenant ecommerce product, allowing them to rapidly onboard new customers. In their words, they're looking to build a complete merchandising system (with different business models), admin roles for account management, billing system, connect to stripe, banking to streamline the billing, and logistics integration, marketplace updates, and backoffice updates.
The client is building out a large new addition to their team (between 6-8 engineers) to facilitate these upgrades. The fullstack engineering lead will report directly to the CTO and will manage the frontend and backend engineers, around 10-15 engineers in total.
Please note that the salary range is our best guess extrapolated from our understanding of our client's funding round and the size of the team being built (around 6-8 engineers). The client is looking to negotiate rates on an engineer to engineer basis. The client is looking for 3 month contracts with 20 hours per week commitments, with the possibility of extension to 1 year contracts with equity and token grant opportunities. This opportunity will involve contracting with the client directly, rather than through 508.dev LLC.
